Lapin Quotidien loves creating with...JEAN-LUC MOERMAN

JEAN-LUC MOERMAN

Brussels based Belgian artist Jean-Luc Moerman's star is rising.

From applying his stickers around Brussels and NYC, through his first exposition in 1995 (Brussels), and his ongoing expositions in Japan, South-Korea, Germany, France and many more, this versatile artist has tackled any surface imaginable: existing photographs, buildings, stickers, canvas, brick walls.

Moerman bases his techniques and style on his excellent draughtsmanship: organic and mostly colourful lines, that go and flow, merging with their subject, constantly evolving and growing, without ever taking possession.

The inspiration for his tell-tale style Moerman derives from art forms such as urban graffiti, Japanese calligraphy and Manga, tattoo-art and the world of sci-fi, fashion and advertising.

Through his art, he reminds us that ‘everyone is tattooed somewhere’, and that inevitably the tattoos we carry, be they internal or external, visible to others or concealed, will multiply or spread beyond our immediate control.

This artist inspires us for lots of events. He gives us lots of energy and his art is top of the world. This is also how we created an amazing event for the launch of the Porsche 911 together, and we also create great emotional value for the new brand Cairox
